The Perfect (FREE) Audio Enhancer?

Adobe's easy-to-use audio tool that's changing the game for video creators.

There’s an amazing new AI audio tool from Adobe that’s been flying under the radar of video creators and even professional editors…

When I show people what it can do, their eyes light up. 👀

“I’m going to use this ALL THE TIME,” they say.

And they will—it’s that good.

Yet somehow, this freely available audio enhancing tool has managed to slip by many working video editors.

How do I know this?

Because the past few weeks, my video editing client work has had me working at numerous events with different teams, and everybody I shared this with had no idea it existed…

A Game Changing Audio Enhancement Tool

It’s called Adobe Podcast Enhance Speech, which is a feature of an app called Adobe Podcast AI (currently in beta).

But as you’ll see below: It’s good for much more than podcasts…

None of the links on this page are affiliate links. This is just a service I find incredibly valuable.

How I Use Adobe Podcast Enhance — Video Walkthrough with Examples

Wanna see just how powerful this audio speech enhancer is?

Here’s a short video walkthrough (5 min.) where I share multiple examples of Adobe Podcast Enhance in action 👇️

I’ve been using Adobe Podcast Enhance on a near-daily basis for the last 6 months.

It can take audio recorded on a phone or outside in a noisy environment… and isolate and enhance the sound of a voice (or voices)making it sound like it was recorded in a professional studio.

I’ve used it to:

  • Clean up audio recordings from Zoom calls—making them sound 10x better

  • Remove reverb and echo from a poor stage recording at an event

  • Remove background noise from interviews recorded outside at noisy events

  • Enhance a voice-over I recorded on my phone, when I didn’t have access to a quality microphone

How to Access & Use Adobe Podcast Enhance Speech

If you pay for an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription, then you already have full access to it’s features.

But even if you don’t currently subscribe to Adobe… you can still use this incredible tool on up to 1 hour of audio per day for FREE.

You’ll simply have to create a free account with Adobe.

To start enhancing your audio, visit the site here:

Once you’re logged in, here’s how to use it:

  1. Drop in an audio clip (or video if you have premium access).

  2. Let it Enhance work it’s magic.

It’s that easy!

Features — Free vs Express Premium Account

With a free account, you will not be able to:

The good news though?

You can sign up for a 30-day free trial to try it out.

Here’s a screenshot showing the differences between a Free account and one with Express Premium access. 👇

Adobe Podcast Enhance Speech Features: Free vs Express Premium

For those with Express Premium access, here are some important takeaways:

The higher the slider % strength—the more it effects your original audio.

But remember: A higher % amount doesn’t always translate to “better.” You’ll have to use your best judgment as to what sounds right to you.

Express Premium access supports audio and video, with the following file types supported:

  • Audio: wav, mp3, m4a, aac, flag, ogg

  • Video: mp4, mov, m4v

Note: It automatically deletes your files from it’s server after 7 days… so make sure you download it!

What Sorcery is this?!

As a video editor who is constantly running into unique sound challenges from productions… a tool like this is a real game changer.

At the very least, it’s good enough to replace some very expensive software.

The single, intuitive strength-adjustment bar makes it easy for anyone to improve the quality of their sound recordings in minutes—no prior sound design experience needed.

But wait! Aren’t there better audio enhancing tools out there?

Yes, of course there are better plugins and software for pro-level audio cleanup, but for the every day video creator (and even most professional video editors)

Audio Podcast Enhance is all you need.
